2012 paper trends we love...

Not only is May that fabulous time of the year when everything is in bloom, the weather is almost perfect(most of the time), spring wedding invitations are in the mail and we're working on day-of goods to round out the paper suite for lots of brides, graduations are happening, and more... it's also every paper lover's opportunity to head to NYC and see what's going on in the world of paper and design... National Stationery Show. Planes, trains, automobiles, and lots of adventure later - here's some of our favorite trends to watch out for from this year's show...

Along with that, you'll continue to see vintage/rustic that we love OH so much... and we'll continue to add other ideas along the way! Other trends to note - we didn't see as many 'mean' cards this year - something that the Southern in us loves to see going away.

We're a Blue Ribbon Vendor!

hello out there! We are so excited to announce that we're a Blue Ribbon Vendor over on Southern Weddings! We're the first Tennessee invitation company to be out there (note- we're listed in the categories as a National company - since we are!) If you're not a follower already, you'll have to add Southern Weddings to your list of blogs for all your wedding planning and honestly, just for the beauty of it all. We have the busiest of spring seasons between getting invitations in the mail, loads of spring weddings and save the dates for fall weddings. Throw in some baby showers, graduations and grand openings and suddenly it's the middle of May! French Country Farm...

Since we started our week with a post of French flair, we thought it was only fitting to finish the week with another! One of our favorite tablescapes from the 2012 Cedarwood Style gave you that moment of closing your eyes and imagine being in the midst of a farm, milk glass on the tables, wildflowers boldly giving color to the tables... ah... French Provence. French Wedding Style!

Happy Monday, World! We're going French today with some fabulous paper goods that are featured over on French Wedding Style. The real fabulousness of the images is the dress - Karen Hendrix Couture... but we loved getting to be a part of it! Thanks to Cedarwood and Ace Photography!

A Little Green Inspiration...

To wrap up St. Patricks Day weekend, we wanted to post a few pictures of a fabulous set of invitations we made to show the variety of things you can do to jazz up a standard invitation - and what better way to do that than with several table settings from the Cedarwood Style Show. We took a standard invitation and paired with a double mat with bakers twine and nameplate for one look and then a second look in a pewter metallic envelope with a apple green ribbon and nameplate. Both are a great way to add some interest and texture to your invitations as well as convey the style of your day. The first, with the bakers twine, would be a bit more casual while the ribbon and pocket would be convey more elegance... We love both looks and also did a seating chart (yes, we do those!) and programs to match. Enjoy the look - and check out the rest of the details here. Oysters and Pearls...

Continuing on with some of the fabulous styling from the 2012 Cedarwood Style Show, we wanted to show the Oyster and Pearls styling today - if you're looking for a classic, timeless style, think pearls. After all, how many times did you try on your mom's pearls when you were a little girl and imagine being all grown up... I can remember when I they were to my knees and I would wear them around (with my mom saying please don't break the strand...).
